Position

Nils is a partner in the employment law practice. He advises on various employment law matters, with a particular emphasis on reorganisations, employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, industrial relations, cross-border employment and employee participation issues (works councils). He advises both Dutch and international companies, as well as their executives. Nils was Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands (2007-2015) and has been awarded the title of Honorary Member. Nils heads HEUSSEN’s Sweden Desk.

Career

Before joining Heussen, Nils was a partner at one of the major law firms in the Netherlands. Previously he worked for the Dutch Landwell firm (and its predecessors), the corresponding law firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. After graduating from Leiden University in 1990 Nils worked for Trenité Van Doorne in Rotterdam (predecessor of Simmons & Simmons in the Netherlands) in the corporate and employment law practice.
