Alvise Becker

Alvise is a Partner of PwC Legal & Tax Italy and has 20+ years of experience - primarily in the M&A field. Working primarily for international clients in the industrial sectors (steel, automotive, pharma, chemical, transport and logistics), Alvise has gained a significant experience in assisting (both buy side and sell side) multinational companies in complex M&A transactions, overseeing all phases and aspects of the transaction, from the due diligence activities to the preparation and negotiation of SpA, shareholders’ agreements, investments agreements, etc.   Alvise is the Head of the Italian China Desk of the firm and also a member of the Board of Auditors of several Italian companies.

Pietro Buccarelli

Pietro Buccarelli is Partner of PwC Legal & Tax Italy and Head of the M&A Practice. Pietro, who is recognized as a notable individual in the legal and business community, advises Italian and foreign corporations on public and private M&A matters (domestic and cross border), private equity transactions, IPO track and financial/debt restructuring.

Stefano Cancarini

Stefano Cancarini focuses his practice on providing counsel on M&A and cross border transactions as well as in corporate and contract law. In particular, he has been involved in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures in public and private transactions in the Italian market. Of note is his experience advising clients operating in the retail, industrial, energy and utilities sectors.

Cristina Cengia

Cristina Cengia has over 30 years of professional experience with reference to M&A and Capital Markets transactions. She is currently partner of PwC - leading the Capital Market department. Cristina handles M&A investment and divestment transactions involving listed and unlisted industrial companies, financial institutions, including in the private equity and venture capital industry. Additionally, Cristina regularly provides legal assistance and advice in IPO processes on EXM and EGM. She also provides legal assistance to listed companies on corporate governance and market best practices. Cristina sits on the Supervisory Board of PwC Italy.

Egidio Filetto

Egidio, a Partner and Founding Member of the firm, is responsible for the Southern Italian Offices of PwC Legal & Tax Italy - in particular of the offices in Naples, Bari, Catania and Palermo. He is particularly noted for his counsel, especially for legal Fiscal matters, in the Maritime sector – including the areas of Shipping, Shipbuilding, Pleasure Boating, and Tourist Ports. Throughout his career he has held various positions – on behalf of his Shipping sector clients – as the President and/or Member of the Board of Auditors as well as being a Specialist Consultant for National and International Taxation companies operating in the areas of Ships, Shipbuilding, Recreational Boating, and Tourist Ports. Egidio is especially noted for his work in the field of Tonnage Tax, tax litigation, tax due diligence, Shipping M&A, admission to stock exchange listings for maritime companies, International Tax Registry, OECD issues, as well as tax assessments and disputes in the Shipping sector.

Riccardo Lonardi

Riccardo Lonardi is a Director of PwC Legal & Tax Italy with over 14 years of experience in M&A, private equity and venture capital, advising on complex transactions across the middle market and cross-border landscape. Riccardo provides comprehensive legal support on buy-side and sell-side transactions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams on both domestic and international deals. His sector expertise spans industrial, consultancy, and transport/logistics. He has developed a strong specialisation in advising start-ups and venture capital operators on investment rounds, with particular focus on early-stage financing instruments, including SAFE agreements. He regularly assists clients in the drafting and negotiation of SPAs, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements and joint venture arrangements. Additionally, Riccardo provides ongoing corporate and commercial support to portfolio companies, including the negotiation of complex commercial contracts. He has participated as a Lecturer at academic institutions for several courses in the field of Italian Corporate Law and M&A.

Camilla Nordera

Camilla, who has 25+ years of experience provide counsel on a wide range of Corporate M&A matters, is a Director in the PwC Legal & Tax Italy Bologna office. Of particular note, as you will see in the pages below, is her work advising domestic and multinational enterprises on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, legal due diligence, international investments, as well as any corporate operation of extraordinary finance. In particular Camilla has developed experience in assisting the clients throughout all the M&A phases including: the structuring of the transactions, the early negotiations, drafting of contractual documents, due diligence process and signing and closing activities.

Filippo Zucchinelli

Filippo is a Partner of the Legal department of PwC Legal STA S.r.l. covering the ACE Area (Emilia Romagna, Marche and Umbria). He is also the partner in charge of the Japan Business Network (JBN) activities in the Legal Department of PwC relating to the Italian territory. Filippo is specialized in M&A and has more than 20 years of experience in advising Italian and foreign companies in both buy-side and sell-side transactions, overseeing all the aspects, from the preliminary and due diligence phases to the drafting and negotiation of the acquisition agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements and commercial agreements. His expertise also covers real estate matters focusing on extraordinary transactions concerning the sale and purchase of companies, individual assets and real estate portfolios (including sale and leaseback transactions), joint ventures development transactions and in more general terms sector contracts.
