Career

Before joining Avramopoulos & Partners Vicky was an associate at George E. Bairactaris & Partners Law Offices (1992-1998), where she undertook all aspects of legal work relating to financing, ship registration and mortgaging, sale and purchase of ships and incorporation of shipping companies. From 1999 to 2004 she served as an in-house lawyer at leading maritime companies and pleasure yacht/chartering companies, practicing maritime law with a focus on financing, sale and purchase of ships and flagging selection. From 2004 to April 2005, she worked with the Public Properties Company (ETA) as legal advisor for Marina Management and Development and she contributed to the complex process of the opening of the “Faliron Marina” in Piraeus by the Public Properties Company.

 Vicky joined Avramopoulos & Partners Law Firm in 2005 as a partner. She focuses on most aspects of corporate and commercial law. She advises clients on all aspects of company formation and operation, including various regulatory matters and matters of compliance with applicable regulations. She also participates in various legal due diligence processes with regards to the acquisition and development of immovable properties/hotels and to the management of securitized loans. She provides legal advice to multinational companies with regards to the establishment of Greek entities or branch offices and administrative matters. She is particularly involved in all corporate matters related to all types of companies owning pleasure or commercial yachts and she is providing legal advice and services on sale and purchase of yachts, incorporation of shipping companies and special purpose companies for the exploitation of commercial pleasure yachts and daily cruises vessels, flagging selection requirements, registration processes and tax matters related to yachts. She has extensive experience in the purchase of real estate property in Greece by third countries’ citizens for the purpose of obtaining a residence permit (Golden Visa) and she attends the whole process including the application, the official documentation needed for each individual and the steps to be taken for each case before the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

Recent Experience:

Provision of legal advice and services in various legal due diligence projects in relation to privatization transactions involving public bidding, the acquisition and development of immovable properties/hotels, management of securitized loans, as well as project development and construction management agreements;

  • Provision of legal advice and services to third countries’ citizens and entities investing in Greece by purchasing a real estate property or a time share in order to be granted with a residence permit (Golden Visa);
  • Provision of legal advice and services to third countries’ citizens who owned property in Greece prior to the implementation of L. 4251/2014 and advising them for the process, the documentation and the steps to be followed in order to be considered as investors and be granted with a residence permit (Golden Visa);
  • Provision of legal advice and services to all types of companies owning pleasure or commercial yachts, with regards to the sale and purchase of the yachts and their respective registration or deregistration with the Greek flag, including their import in the EU and their custom and tax clearance;
  • Provision of legal advice and services to clients with regards to the incorporation of special purpose companies for the exploitation of commercial pleasure yachts and daily cruises vessels;
  • Provision of legal advice to clients with regards to the exploitation of Greek commercial yachts in Croatia without losing their character and license in Greece and with regards to the income and tax matters arising out from such exploitation.
