Career
She is a partner at SPS Law Firm since January 2013, where she began working in July 2003.
In recent years she was in charge of various teams, refocusing on real estate investment and construction law, in several sectors of activity, such as retail, tourism, health and industry, and was responsible for the completion of various complex real estate operations involving investments worth several million euros.
Joana’s experience in public and real estate law allowed her to develop advanced skills in public procurement. She has represented several clients in public procurement procedures, particularly companies in the health and telecommunications sectors, drafting proposals, performing legal analyses of selection and awarding processes, and supporting clients in public litigation.
She also coordinates several litigation and civil advisory teams at SPS Law Firm which support various large and medium-sized companies and is responsible for handling several important dossiers.

Education
Holding a Law degree from the Law School at the University of Lisbon, in 2003, she later completed several specialization courses, namely a post-graduate degree in Legal Sciences at the Lisbon School of Law at Universidade Católica in 2005, and a specialized programme in Real Estate Management at ISEG [Lisbon School of Economics & Management] in 2008. In 2011 Joana enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Public Law at the Faculty of Law at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and in 2015 she completed the Executive Education programme in Law Firm Management at the Nova School of Business and Economics.
