Career

Bilkis is a partner in the Trade Marks Department, holding an LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She was admitted as an attorney in 2004.

A qualified Trade Mark Practitioner, Fellow of the SA Institute of Intellectual Property Law and member of international organisations, including INTA and PTMG, she regularly attends INTA Administrators and PTMG conferences.

She specialises in all aspects of trade mark formalities and commercialisation throughout Africa and internationally.

Bilkis is also a co-author of The Practitioner’s Guide to Intellectual Property, published by Lexis Nexis.

She is a member of the Legal Practice Council. She has high profiled international and local clients extending across various industries such as the pharmaceutical industry, Fashion and luxury, Consumer goods and the financial sector.

Bilkis is a member of the Management committee and well as the Marketing Committee.  She chairs the firms Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is passionate about driving change and transformation in the workplace.
