Position

Sofia Langhoff Gøgsig specializes in general data protection law and IT law, and has great experience in advising clients on all aspects of personal data processing. Due to her experience with general data protection and IT, Sofia became a certified IT attorney under the Danish association of IT attorneys in 2019.

Sofia work with all areas of personal data. She has great experience helping IT companies with compliance projects, risk assessments, third country transfers, storing of data etc. Sofia routinely assists clients drafting, negotiating, and supervising data processer agreements.

Sofia also has great experience providing specific general data protection advice to clients in M&A transactions, particularly when acquiring IT companies.

Sofia has extensive practical experience in crisis management in the event of a security breaches. She has successfully helped clients with security breaches and with breaches involving personal data. She also guides clients on how to implement the necessary security measures to prevent such breaches.

Sofia is passionate about data ethics; particularly how new technologies might affect data ethics. New technological possibilities and citizens’ increased focus on their rights, privacy and integrity keep pushing todays understanding and tolerance of acceptable data management. This makes new demands on companies’ work with personal data. Sofia work with several big IT companies. Therefore, she is particularly interested in the interplay between data ethics and companies’ data management as it is a competitive advantage for her clients.
