Position

Catarina works with Espanha e Associados since 2022 and is a member of Commercial and Corporate Law Department coordinated by Rita Beirôco. Catarina is a member of Portuguese and Angolan Bar Association, having extensive experience in the national and Angolan market.

Catarina works with national and international clientes advising them in matters of corporate law, banking, finance and insurance.

Catarina has developed her experience in the Angolan market, having advised foreign companies in their implementation in that market, foreign and national financial and banking entities, and insurance companies.

Career

Catarina graduated in 2006 (Law School of Lisbon University).

Before joining Espanha e Associados, she worked with Miranda e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL (September 2019 to November 2021), DLA Piper ABBC (October 2017 to September 2019) and Abreu & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados RL Advogados (January 2016 to March 2017). In Angola, she worked with Banco BIC S.A., as a head of legal, and with FBL Advogados, as a senior associate. Catarina did her training in Portugal, at SPS Advogados (March 2007 to December 2009) and at Velosa da Silva e Associados (August 2006 to March 2007).

Education

Catarina graduated in 2006 (Law School of Lisbon University). She completed a post-graduate course in Commercial and Corporate Law in 2007 (Law School of Catholic University of Lisbon) and a post-graduate course in 2008 (Law School of Lisbon University). In 2009, she also completed a Master in International Business Law and a Master of Corporate Law, both in Esade- Law & Business School, in Barcelona.
