Dr Maik Kirchner studied law at the University of Cologne. He then worked as a managing research assistant at the Institute for Energy Law at the University of Cologne. Dr Maik Kirchner completed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Cologne with positions at the Foreign Office in Bangkok, a banking law chamber of the Regional Court of Cologne and a large commercial law firm. Dr Maik Kirchner wrote his dissertation in the field of stock exchange law, with a focus on stock exchange supervisory law. Against this background, banking and stock exchange supervisory law as well as stock exchange organisation law form a focal point of his practice. In addition, he represents savings banks, banks, insurance companies and investment brokerage companies in all questions of banking and banking supervisory law.
