The UGGC office in Casablanca was created in December 2002. UGGC  Avocats was one of the first French law firms to set up an office in Morocco in order to develop a pan-African legal and tax advisory platform. The Casablanca office of UGGC has since become one of the foremost international law firms in Africa. The Casablanca office offers its clients the same assistance as the one offered by our Paris office and covers all areas of law.

The team of our Casablanca office consists of 15 Moroccan and French lawyers working in Arabic, English and French and with recognized experience in Moroccan law and in-depth knowledge of OHADA and UEOMA law.

The team of the Casablanca office intervenes regularly in Morocco but also in Algeria, Tunisia as well as in Sub-Saharan, West and Central Africa.

Due to its size and geographical presence, UGGC’s experience has enabled it, for more than 20 years, to accompany its clients in their investment projects in Africa, in liaison with its structured network of local correspondents covering the entire African continent.

The Casablanca office has, in particular, a recognized practice in the field of:

  • corporate law
  • M&A/Private Equity
  • employment law
  • litigation & arbitration
  • competition law
  • real estate law
  • health law
  • public law
  • intellectual property

UGGC Avocats also set up an “Africa Desk” consisting of lawyers in the Paris office who are perfectly knowledgeable about issues of Moroccan law so that our French or European clients have a contact close-at-hand in Paris.

Our teams in Casablanca and in the “Africa Desk” in Paris assist our clients daily in Sub-Saharan Africa and in particular in the territories governed by the OHADA (Organization  for the harmonization of business law in Africa) treaty, as well as those located within the  MENA area and the Middle East (United Arab Emirates and Qatar in particular).
