Career

Katrine Malmer-Høvik is specialised within the legal field of Intellectual Property Rights (IP rights). She is the head of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Data Protection group. Katrine has extensive experience in assisting Norwegian and foreign companies in protection and management of IP rights such as patents, trademarks, design, domain names and corporate names in order for the company to administrate the competitive advantage in the best manner for the said IP rights.

She also assists clients in relation to copyright, marketing issues, business secrets and technology matters. She is an experienced lawyer in contract law. This involves preparation, review and quality assurance of agreements.

Katrine also provides legal advice on aspects related to personal data protection including implementation and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation/GDPR.

She regularly litigates cases before the courts, and is also lecturer in intellectual property issues and contract law. She is frequently used as a lecturer at the Norwegian Industrial Property Office.
