Position

Mert Oğuzülgen is one of the leaders in our M&A practice group. Mr. Oğuzülgen is known for his role in many of the major M&A transactions that have taken place in Turkey over the last two decades, including landmark transactions in regulated markets as well as in the e-commerce sector.

In addition to his experience in traditional M&A work, Mr. Oğuzülgen also specializes in private equity and venture capital. The breadth of his experience puts him in a great position to assume a leadership role in M&A transactions requiring multiple layers of complexity, such as those involving capital markets aspects, private equity perspectives, or regulated markets.

Career

Having joined the firm in 2005, Mr. Oğuzülgen was seconded to the London office of the Magic Circle firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2011. Afterwards, he served as a managing associate in our corporate transactional practice group before being promoted to partner in 2016.

Education

Mr. Oğuzülgen received his Bachelor of Laws from Istanbul University School of Law in 1999 and a Master of Laws in Law & Economics from Utrecht University in 2005.
