Career

Lars’ expertise and experience forms an integral part of his work with clients, often advising on both the legal and commercial potential of their IP rights as well as the development and implementation of their domestic and cross-border trademark and branding IP strategy.

His knowledge of both corporate law and marketing law, as well as other regulatory or legislative compliance requirements, have ensured that he is able to provide his clients with a developed perspective and understanding of the potential value and most practical use of their existing rights. His litigation expertise sees him quickly able to identify the most practical routes to improving the chance of a successful outcome, including representing clients before the courts where necessary. He is also a skilled negotiator, able to draft and evaluate complex licensing agreements and other commercial contracts.
He is an expert in portfolio management, able to help his clients expand their portfolios and market positions through clearance and prosecution, and ensuring ongoing protection through monitoring, licensing and litigation, where appropriate. His clients consist of both start-ups and multinationals, including those headquartered nationally as well as those trying to enter the market, and operate across a range of sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Retail, Sustainability and Green Tech, Luxury Goods, FMCG and Energy, among others.

Lars has a law degree from the University of Oslo (2016). He specialised in intellectual property law, patent law and copyright law and wrote his Masters thesis on the subject of trademark legislation. Originally joining Zacco in 2018, Lars worked within another firm before returning to Zacco as a Lawyer and Partner in 2021.
