Balz Gross

Partner. Balz Gross is the Head of Homburger's Disputes (Litigation / Arbitration) practice. He advises clients on the international coordination of arbitral, state court and criminal proceedings covering multiple jurisdictions. He has extensive experience regarding all aspects of international arbitration (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, Swiss Rules, ad hoc, etc.) and complex litigation before Swiss state courts and authorities, including criminal proceedings and employment (compensation) related disputes. He has acted as party counsel in more than one hundred international arbitrations, in particular in proceedings relating to mergers and acquisitions, long-term supply contracts, distribution contracts and joint ventures. Balz Gross acts as counsel in large, mostly international proceedings before the state courts in all Swiss cantons, in particular the Commercial Courts, and represents foreign and Swiss clients in proceedings involving criminal law issues. Balz Gross is the Co-Head of the Employment and Executive Compensation Practice and has extensive experience in employment related disputes and employment aspects of transactions.
Benedikt Maurenbrecher
Partner. Practice focuses on financial services regulatory and civil law matters, offerings of regulatory instruments by banks, as well as capital markets and asset-based financing transactions. Regularly represents financial institutions in banking litigation, regulatory proceedings and investigations. Areas of work also include debt restructurings, platforms and open banking solutions.
Benjamin Leisinger
Partner in Homburger's Financial Market Regulation, Financing and Investment Products as well as Capital Markets teams. Main areas of work are financial regulatory advice (banks, securities houses, fintech, portfolio managers), offerings and listings of financial instruments (including ETPs, regulatory capital and other loss-absorbing instruments as well as equity and equity-linked securities), and financial market regulation including on the provision of financial services and stock exchange regulations.
Claude Lambert
Specialized in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, private equity, public takeovers and defences as well as general corporate law and corporate governance. Recent assignments include assisting One Equity Partners on its acquisition of the Associated Spring and Hänggi businesses of Barnes Group Inc., UBS Group AG on its debut issuance of USD 3.5 bn AT1 Notes with an equity conversion feature, ARYZTA AG with regard to its CHF 71.8 m and EUR 60 m senior term facilities, GAM on the carve-out of its third party fund management services to Carne Group, GAM on the exchange offer from Liontrust, GAM on the partial offer from Newgame, U.S. Cotton on the sale of FLAWA Consumer GmbH in a management buyout, Credit Suisse on various aspects in connection with the merger of Credit Suisse with UBS and several listed companies with their shareholders' meeting.

Partner. Claudia Suter heads Homburger's private clients team and is a partner in Homburger's tax team. She advises private clients, family offices and entrepreneurs in connection with succession and estate planning, in particular in the areas of tax, inheritance and family law, as well as migration law. She further advises foundations on all tax issues that arise.

Partner. Claudio Bazzani heads Homburger's White Collar Crime & Investigations team. He specializes in large-scale internal and regulatory investigations and advises corporate clients in compliance matters, with a particular focus on anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and economic sanctions compliance. Flavio Romerio

Partner. Flavio Romerio is the Managing Partner of Homburger and a partner in Homburger's White Collar & Investigations team. His work focuses on complex, often public and high-stakes matters at the crossroads of regulatory, civil and criminal proceedings. He represents clients in investigations by Swiss and foreign authorities, in particular in proceedings by Swiss regulator FINMA and in investigations by US authorities against Swiss corporates. He leads internal investigations and advises clients on their compliance framework, with a special focus on AML, sanctions and anti-bribery compliance. He regularly conducts compliance reviews at Swiss financial institutions and carries out factual investigations in the context of FINMA enforcement proceedings.

Franz Hoffet
Franz Hoffet is a partner of Homburger's Competition and Regulatory teams. He has extensive experience in all areas of Swiss and European competition law, ranging from merger control to administrative and civil antitrust litigation. He represents a wide range of companies and trade associations in proceedings before the Swiss competition authorities, the European Commission and in civil courts and arbitration proceedings. He also advises clients on compliance matters of Swiss and European competition law. Other areas of practice include regulated markets (in particular health care and life sciences, telecommunications and media, energy, infrastructure and transport), international trade and public procurement. Gabrielle Nater-Bass
Partner. Gabrielle Nater-Bass' practice focuses on arbitration and litigation. She is a highly experienced party counsel and arbitrator in international commercial arbitration proceedings, ad hoc and institutional, across a wide range of industries. Stefanie Pfisterer has been involved in more than 50 arbitration proceedings under various arbitration rules.
