Career

Álvaro Navarro is a lawyer in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in 2003 and specialises in employment and social security law.

Álvaro has extensive experience in advising Spanish and foreign companies on labour law issues relating to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring transactions and redundancy procedures. He has also participated in the adoption of measures related to internal flexibility.

Álvaro advises on employment contracts, including employment contracts for senior executives, collective bargaining agreements, salary and benefits policies and employee codes of conduct.

He also advises Spanish and foreign companies on immigration matters.

A substantial part of Álvaro’s practice involves advising clients on their employment disputes, representing them in court and in the negotiation of out-of-court settlements. He also has extensive experience in the preparation of labour and social security reports and audits.
