Position
Derk advises on capital markets transactions, securities matters, mergers & acquisitions and corporate governance questions. He was the managing partner of our firm in Amsterdam from 2014 through 2019.
Derk acts on behalf of domestic and international clients, both listed and privately held. Over the years he has advised on many of initial public offerings and other securities offerings in the Dutch market.
He lectures at several universities and international organizations such as the IBA. Derk has a law degree from Leiden University and an LL.M from Columbia University in New York. He is the co-author of books and articles on securities law.
