Career

Mona Banu is a senior attorney at law at Schoenherr și Asociații SCA, where she specialises in competition, EU & foreign trade. She has extensive experience advising on the full range of competition law matters, combining legal and economic expertise. Her track record includes advising on cartels and other competition investigations, compliance and dawn raids, supply and distribution agreements, horizontal cooperation agreements, joint ventures, unilateral conducts and merger control. She has assisted clients active in various sectors, such as financial services, consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, construction materials, telecommunications, energy, tourism and agriculture. Mona worked for ten years at the Romanian competition regulator, where she conducted (either as a case manager or member of investigation teams) investigations and dawn raids, performed legal review of mergers and antirust decisions, and assisted in litigation cases.
