We strive to promote a workplace which understands, appreciates and embraces difference. We endeavour to practice mutual respect for all qualities and experiences that are different from the majority in every aspect of our firm.
Pro Bono
Reddy Charlton LLP is committed to encouraging pro bono legal advice and representation and support for this activity is an integral value of the firm. It is indeed part of our vision for this to continue for many years to come.
We believe that all members of the firm, from Partner to Trainee Solicitor should aim to participate in pro bono matters. By doing this, Reddy Charlton LLP bolsters the positive impact this legal advice or representation will have on those individuals who cannot afford to pay for it and to the general public interest as a whole.
The provision of legal advice on a pro bono basis helps individuals to become more aware of their rights and we feel it also helps communities become more robust.
Many of our solicitors volunteer at Free Legal Advice Centres on a regular basis.
Roisin Benefit, Head of the Property Department, is a member of the Chancery Lane Project which is a worldwide project focused on developing new contracts and model laws to help fight climate change. The project is aligned with and supports the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals relating to climate action and net zero carbon emissions targets.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Reddy Charlton LLP have continued to focus on their corporate social responsibility and continue to foster a close connection to SightSavers Ireland, an international charity working to eliminate preventable blindness.

Additionally, we host regular raffle events in order to raise vital funds to support the critical efforts of Sightsavers Ireland to protect the sight of those most vulnerable both at home and abroad.
We have recently begun a partnership with Clean Coasts, a project of An Taisce. With the guidance of experts in Clean Coasts, we volunteer as a firm on a quarterly basis to do beach clean ups around Dublin.
We also make regular donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul which is a nation wide charity whose goal is to fight poverty.
Last but by no means, least our office plays host to an urban beehive, which is tended by our Chairman, Paul Keane. Urban beekeeping is recognised as a key driver in the promotion of biodiversity in city spaces. We regularly gift jars of honey to clients and colleagues alike and make donations to St. Francis’ Hospice for each jar gifted.

Notable Cases
Commercial Team:
1. The Commercial Team of Reddy Charlton LLP advised OEM International on the acquisition of Demesne Electrical in Ireland. OEM International is one of Europe’s leading technology trading groups. The acquisition was brought to a satisfactory completion in January of this year. The acquisition was led by Niamh Gibney and Elaine McGrath on the Corporate, Commercial and M & A team, Róisin Bennet on the Real Estate team and Siobhan Lafferty on the Employment & Regulatory Team.
2. The Reddy Charlton LLP Commercial Team acted for the Fitzwilliam Group in a major re-finance with Bawag P.S.K. Bank. This was a joint project between the Commercial, Corporate and M & A team and the Real Estate Team with Niamh Gibney, Elaine McGrath and Brendan Sharkey all playing a significant role in getting this transaction over the line. Reddy Charlton LLP have developed a niche expertise in acting for borrowers in LMA style transactions having acted for a number of clients in these high value finance transactions in the past year alone.
Real Estate Team:
1. The Reddy Charlton LLP Real Estate Team recently acted on behalf of the Industrial Development Agency (Ireland) in relation to the sale of a 6.53 hectare site in County Offaly to a Multinational company. The project included
consideration of a range of title issues including extensive consultation regarding mapping issues and wayleaves which traversed the site. The transaction also required consideration of foreign law opinion and required significant negotiation with lawyers in the home jurisdiction of the purchaser to reach a mutually satisfactory opinion. There was a significant time pressure on the transaction as the project was advancing to construction. Reddy Charlton were able to take the deal from heads of terms to completion within 5 weeks.
2. Reddy Charlton LLP act for Indaver Ireland Limited in relation to various property issues across its property portfolio. Indaver Ireland Limited is part of Belgian entity Indaver NV which is at the forefront of waste management in
industry and with public authority customers throughout Europe. Roisin Bennett recently acted for Indaver in negotiation of its lease of waste management facilities at Dublin Port, which is a key location for the operation of its business. This involved extension negotiations with a semi state organisation and required consideration of among other issues break options, rent review clauses and landlord and tenant renewal rights. Reddy Charlton provide ongoing property support to Indaver on its property portfolio throughout the Republic of Ireland including landlord and tenant, planning and compulsory purchase.
Employment & Regulatory Team:
1. The Employment & Regulatory Team of Reddy Charlton LLP negotiated a significant six figure ex gratia payment for a senior executive in the IT industry, being exited from the business purportedly as a result of redundancy. The employee’s package included a complex Long-Term Incentive Plan, with vested Cash Settled Stock Appreciation Rights. As part of the terms, Reddy Charlton LLP negotiated that the employee be entitled to exercise those vested shares at the relevant time, notwithstanding the fact that his employment with the company had terminated.
2. The Employment & Regulatory Team of Reddy Charlton LLP supported an employer client in the automotive industry in relation to an investigation and subsequent disciplinary process in relation to missing stock. Reddy Charlton LLP prepared the Terms of Reference for the investigation, correspondence with the employee and advised the client on the steps required to conduct the process in accordance with their internal procedures and contractual documentation. Prior to the implementation of a disciplinary sanction, the employee resigned from his employment with an alternative role elsewhere, resulting in a low risk result for our client.
