Career

Anders Birkelund Nielsen is a procurement and contract law specialist.

As a procurement and contract law specialist, Anders advises contracting authorities and utilities on the obligation to tender, designing tender strategy, drafting tender material and contracts as well as conducting tenders. He advises enterprises submitting tenders on complying with suitability requirements, ensuring conformity and optimisation of bids in relation to specific award criteria. In addition, Anders has extensive experience in conducting cases before the Complaints Board for Public Procurement and the ordinary courts.

Anders is solution-oriented, and with his high professional standards, high level of diligence and positive attitude he is a popular adviser with both clients and colleagues.

Contract law is also a major part of Anders’s work, where he advises on, among other things, interpretation and resolution of any disputes related to existing contracts. Finally, Anders has taught Community procurement law at the University of Copenhagen.
