Career
After studying law in Hanover, he completed his doctorate on the electronic “Bolero Bill of Lading under German and English Law”. Since his admission to the bar in 2005, he has been working for our firm and became a partner in 2012. He advises on all aspects of national and international road, rail, inland waterway and sea transport and on international sales. He is co-publisher and editor of the journals for International Trade Law (“Zeitschrift für Internationales Handelsrecht – IHR”) and transport law (“Transportrecht”) and contributes to commentaries i.a. on land and maritime transport regulations in the Munich Commentary on the German Commercial Code. Dr. Eckardt is the lecturer for both international trade law and transport law at the University of Applied Science Emden/Leer.
