Career

Prof. Dr. Dirk Weitze-Scholl studied Law in Osnabrück. After that, he earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Tax Law. He received his doctorate on taxation and corporate law matters (“Joint Venture in the Construction Industry”) in 2002. In 2004 he was admitted to the bar and started his career at Ahlers & Vogel. After gaining interim experience working in the tax department of KPMG, he joined our company in 2008 as a partner. His main areas of activity are the legal representation of clients in dealings with financial authorities and financial courts and providing advice relating to company law regarding the establishment and organisation of companies of all legal forms and transactions. In May 2016 he was appointed Notary. After many years as a lecturer, Dr. Weitze-Scholl was appointed honorary professor for Civil Law, Tax and Corporate Law at the University of Bremen in 2019.
