Michael Mayer

European Counsel, Jones Day Michael Mayer, a certified compliance expert, focuses his practice on a range of compliance matters, including internal investigations, anticorruption due diligence, as well as implementation and assessment of compliance programmes. Michael has significant experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional compliance investigations involving the DOJ, the World Bank or German investigative authorities. He was a member of a large cross-border investigation in connection with proceedings initiated by the US and German regulatory and law enforcement authorities. He has conducted more than 450 interviews in German, English and Russian and is regularly responsible for project management and effective use of artificial intelligence in the context of eDiscovery and big data analysis in investigations.

Michael Wiegand-Mueller

Manager eDiscovery / Managed Review EMEA, OpenText Discovery Michael Wiegand-Mueller, is an attorney at law and economics lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in international eDiscovery projects for corporate lawyers and law firms. In his role at OpenText, he is responsible for the management of staff, projects and reporting and communication with the client. Michael has trained customers in OpenText Axcelerate, provided advice on TAR and the use of AI and developed workflows for litigation projects. With his extensive background in criminal law, he advises clients on using eDiscovery workflows to improve traditional investigations, as well as leading the Recon Service Department for OpenText EMEA. Michael’s focus is on delivering an end-to-end service to his clients that is both effective and cost efficient.
