On Wednesday 25th July 2018, The Legal 500, GC Magazine, Dentons Rodyk and HPRP hosted a roundtable discussion in Jakarta on the current state of infrastructure in Indonesia.
Chaired by Alex Speirs, Editor in Chief, GC Magazine alongside partners from Dentons Rodyk (Philip Jeyaretnam SC and John Dick) and HPRP (Andre Rahadian and Giovanni Mofsol Muhammad); the discussion brought together a selection of elite counsel from various sectors to discuss investment, infrastructure and internationalisation in the future in Indonesia and the challenges apparent.
Discussion topics included:
- Is the current state of infrastructure sufficient to facilitate economic growth and development?
- What are the primary challenges facing Indonesia in terms of developing new infrastructure?
- In what areas can lawyers help facilitate the development of infrastructure in Indonesia?
- Are regional legal frameworks sufficiently strong to support long term infrastructure projects and goals?
