GC Powerlist: South Africa

Legal 500 returned to Johannesburg to mark the launch of the GC Powerlist: South Africa 2026, held in partnership with CDH. The reception brought together prominent in-house counsel from across the city for an evening celebrating their contributions, leadership, and tangible influence within their organisations.

Phetheni Nkuna, Executive Management Director at CDH, opened the event with welcoming remarks.

She was followed by keynote speaker Scarlate Masiye, Director Legal and Compliance for Africa and the Middle East at Bridgestone, who shared her perspective on what defines successful lawyers, including qualities that go beyond technical expertise.
