On May 13th, The Legal 500, in partnership with EY, proudly hosted the launch of the GC Powerlist: Denmark 2025. Held at EY’s Copenhagen offices under a radiant spring sun, the event brought together the distinguished in-house lawyers featured in the publication to celebrate their well-earned recognition. This convergence of legal and business leaders fostered a dynamic atmosphere of networking, knowledge-sharing, and mutual celebration. More than a recognition of individual excellence, the event underscored the pivotal role that general counsel and in-house legal teams play within today’s business landscape.

The programme featured a series of short but impactful speeches. Susanne Scott Levinsen, Partner and Head of EY Law Denmark, delivered the opening remarks, congratulating all the honourees and sharing highlights from the underlying research. Francisco Castro, Research Editor at Legal 500, followed with further insights into the selection process and the editorial work behind the publication.

A particularly compelling speech was delivered by Janus Hillerup, Group General Counsel at Urban Partners, who reflected on the evolving role of the GC and the importance of strong, visionary leadership in driving legal team success. To close the session, Shourik Chatterjee of EY offered his congratulations and shared key takeaways from EY’s latest GC report, adding valuable context to the broader discussion.
