GC Powerlist Southeast Asia 2022 highlights the very best GCs and senior in-house legal counsel from across the region. Following a comprehensive research process conducted over many months; the results and findings will officially be unveiled on 7 October at Raffles Hotel in Singapore.

The reception will include drinks and canapes and will provide recipients with the opportunity to network with peers, exchange ideas and best practice, and to celebrate the role of in-house counsel.

Zac Sharpe, partner, Jones Day

Zac Sharpe is a partner in the global disputes practice at Jones Day in Singapore where his practice focuses on international arbitration and cross-border disputes. Zac leads a team of seven lawyers in Singapore with extensive experience with complex disputes across a range of industries and specialized areas including energy/oil and gas, engineering and construction, joint ventures, licensing, and technology. The Singapore global disputes team regularly acts as counsel in major disputes and arbitrations across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Jones Day is a global law firm with more than 2,500 lawyers in 42 offices spread across five continents. Joe Boswell, head of the GC Powerlist Series, The Legal 500

Joe Boswell has been a part of The Legal 500’s editorial team, specialising on the in-house legal community, for more than six years. He now heads the GC Powerlist team, acting as chief editor for the over 40 separate editions of the GC Powerlist series which serve as The Legal 500’s flagship title celebrating the world’s top in-house counsel.

During the course of researching for the GC Powerlist series, Boswell has interviewed a vast number of world-renowned general counsel, chief legal officers, and legal directors about overcoming the challenges they face, their legal innovations, and how they see the general counsel role progressing in coming years. As well as this, he is a regular speaker at Legal 500 summits, roundtables, award ceremonies and other events, and often writes in-depth reports on business and legal issues.

In her own words, a proud ‘Lawyer, LGBT Ally, Inclusion and Diversity Advocate, mother of two girls and lover of shoes’, Miscen Desiderio-Dime has many years at the top of the Philippines’ legal profession under her belt. Admitted to the Philippine Bar as one of the top 20 candidates in 1997, she then worked as a senior associate in litigation at Ponce Enrile Reyes Manalastas before moving on to be a partner at Puno & Puno Law Office. Her in-house legal career began at Banco De Oro Universal Bank in their recovery litigation team and, after a stint as Philippines country counsel lead at Macquarie Offshore Services, Desiderio-Dime began her–now decade-long–service with Accenture. Here, she is director of legal services, regulatory and compliance operations and also operates as corporate secretary.
