Paolo Brugnera is the head of Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners's Padua office, where the team takes a 'simple, serious and effective approach'. The firm's recent work included assisting Grandi Molini Italiani with its €200m restructuring (through a 'concordato preventivo' procedure), and advising Metalco Street Furniture on its €5m acquisition of Bellitalia. Elsewhere, members of the team advise clients on labour law, IP and litigation, among other areas. Paolo Gnignati is the name to note for bankruptcy proceedings and insolvency. Paolo Brugnera, an expert in corporate law and commercial contracts, is the office partner.

Osborne Clarke's Padua office is a hub of the firm's banking work in Italy; Federica Greggio, who is a particular name to note in this space, acted for Unicredit on the provision of finance to MigSeating (a special purpose vehicle controlled by Mezzalira Investment Group) for its acquisition of Sitland. Greggio also advised the same client on the provision of a €130m mid-term facility agreement to SO.FI.M.A as part of a refinancing. Elsewhere, commercial, corporate and IP work are other bedrocks of the practice. Associate Laura Cipollone is also recommended.

Roberta Crivellaro, who is the head of Withers Studio Legale's Italian practice, is particularly experienced in undertaking corporate and commercial work for clients in the food and beverage sector. The firm, more broadly, also acts for clients in other industries, with litigation and tax representing the other key areas of focus at the Padua office. Recent work includes advising the owners of Cementizillo on its multimillion-euro sale to Buzzi Unicem. Gemmo, Santa Margherita and Spazioverde are among other active clients.

Antonella Maria Sannicandro is one of many names to note at CBA Studio Legale e Tributario, which is strong in corporate, banking and finance, capital markets and employment, among other areas. Tax expert Angelo Bonissoni and Matteo Bascelli are other key figures.

Giulio Marzella is the managing partner at MAC Legal – Studio Legale, which regularly works with clients in the food, IT, manufacturing, fashion and luxury goods sectors. In 2018, Marzella and Francesca Parravicini assisted Like with its acquisition of Alchimatica. Simone Piva, GAP Service, PDP Immobiliare and Omac are among other clients of the firm.

Tonucci & Partners' Padua office operates as part of a wider network of offices located in Italy and further afield in Eastern Europe. It covers an extensive range of areas for Italian and international clients; its non-contentious work spans areas such as banking and finance, corporate and M&A, dispute resolution and tax law (including tax planning). On the contentious front, members of the team provide assistance with resolving disputes in the context of litigation, arbitration and mediation. Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati has been a key fixture in the Italian legal market since the early 1980s. Its Padua team includes Gianluca Saccoccia, who undertakes a mix of corporate and M&A, and banking and finance work. In addition, Saccoccia handles real estate work for asset management firms and mutual funds. In addition to handling M&A and private equity transactions, Yuri Zugolaro assists clients with a broad cross-section of tax issues, such as transfer pricing, tax planning and restructuring. Monica Barbieri, Marzia Reginato and Marco Michielon are also recommended.
