José Ramón Ramírez is the Managing Partner of the firm. He has been a very successful leader in the real estate and urbanism fields in Colombia.
Jose Ramon is a versatile lawyer when it comes to providing legal solutions. His expertise goes an extra mile from the traditional legal advice. He has worked in the real estate arena from three different but highly important perspectives that gives him a 360-degree understanding:
(i) The law firm and advisor perspective;
(ii) The local authority perspective in charge of real estate and urbanistic matters; and
(iii) The construction company perspective.
José Ramón worked at Prietocarrizosa, now PPU, at Pedro Gómez y Cía. (a leading construction company in Colombia) and in the Special Administrative Unit of Cadastre of Bogotá (local authority). His professional experience has allowed him to know both perspectives, which allows him to have a comprehensive and deep understanding of real estate matters, allowing him to go beyond the legal implications of the projects and consider the business opportunities for the industry.
Jose Ramon is one of the youngest founding law firms’ partners in Colombia and has earned multiple recognitions from the most outstanding clients and has secured the current positioning of the firm in the legal market. He works with high profile clients such as Cemex (largest concrete company in the country and one of the leading concrete companies in the entire region); TC Latin American Partners – TC Private Equity Fund, Nexus Inmobiliario – Private Equity Fund, Hoteles Decameron, Pactia – Private Equity Fund, Smurfit Kappa Carton Colombia among others.
As a leader of the firm he is currently advising in some of the largest real estate projects in Colombia.
