José Carlos Altomari is an associate at Pinheiro Neto Advogados. With more than ten years’ experience in the Brazilian electricity sector, he has advised on the most significant industry transactions, including the recent privatizations of power transmission, distribution and generation companies (Eletrobras, CELG-D, CELG-T, CEB- D and CEEE-T, among others). He focuses his practice on M&A, project finance and complex contract transactions, with successful experience in regulatory litigation. He also benefits from valuable secondment experience in power generation and transmission companies early in his career, which provides him with unique hands-on knowledge of the power industry (including the commercial aspects involved).
