Partner of Demarest’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Oil and Gas areas, João Luis Ribeiro de Almeida holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law from New York University, a post-graduate degree in Oil Law and Business from IBP in partnership with UERJ and in Tax Law from FGV. He also holds a degree in International Oil & Gas Law, Contracts and Negotiations from the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (USA). He has a strong presence in the transactional area, representing large companies, especially in the energy sector. João also has international experience as a foreign associate at Sidley Austin’s New York office and was approved by the New York State Bar.
