Career

​​Felipe Prado is a partner in BMA’s Finance and Capital Markets practice area. Joined Barbosa Müssnich Aragão in July 2009. Specializing in corporate finance and banking regulations, Felipe Prado advises the firm’s clients on their financing and investment activities, assisting Brazilian and international financial institutions, public corporations, private equity funds, asset managers, and securitization companies in a wide variety of transactions involving public offerings and private placements of securities (notes, hybrid securities, promissory notes, debentures, and bonds), securitization of receivables (CRI, CRA, CEPAC), formation of structured investment funds (FIPs, FIDCs, FIIs and FIEs), and syndicated loans.

He is familiar with the Basel accords on banking supervision and has experience in mergers and acquisitions of financial institutions. From 2013 to 2014 Felipe Prado worked as a visiting attorney in the corporate finance area of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, in New York City. From 2006 to 2009, he practiced banking and capital markets law with a large Brazilian law firm.
