Career

Afra is a transactional lawyer specialising in commercial, corporate and M&A matters. She helps clients translate business strategy into deals and strategic alliances. She establishes, and aims at continuing to establish, long term relationships with clients. From this perspective she advises Italian and multinational businesses from an array of industry sectors, drawing on her expertise in Italian civil and corporate law. Afra assesses legal issues for clients in terms of risk and probability, enabling them to make risk-informed decisions. She has great experience in asset deals, JVs and other commercial extraordinary transactions.

Afra has been the promoter of Together®, an important pilot program carried out in the Italian offices and focusing on gender equality. The project was then exported to other Bird & Bird offices around the world.
She is currently interested and studying Sustainability related matters trying to find together with clients a way forward in assisting them in their transition towards circular economies.

Afra has recently been appointed as one of the 5 members of Bird & Bird StratCOM, the Firm’s committee led by the CEO focusing on the current and future strategies of the Firm.
