Recognized as a leading food and feed lawyer, Katia represents some of the world’s leading and most well-known food companies and FoodTech unicorns. Katia’s special areas of expertise are food innovation and safety. As a legal authority in such matters, she regularly counsels on novel foods, the (extended) use of new or existing additives, flavorings, enzymes, new breeding techniques etc. and the interpretation of scientific and legal data thereof.

She is an expert on European authorization procedures.

Katia also supports clients with issues linked to food safety, risk assessment and incident management, for example following RASFF alerts or (inter-)national authority controls.

More generally, she also counsels clients on environmental law, biotechnologies and cosmetics law.
