Position
Specialist in all areas of immigration including business, human rights and immigration litigation with specialism in family law, matrimonial property, finance and children in family disputes. Appointed by Lord Chancellor as part-time immigration judge. He joined the firm in January 1976 and is a specialist in all aspects of UK immigration and nationality law. He also specialises in EEA immigration law. The celebrated cases of Shah and Islam (HL) and Bombast and Rolay (ECJ) are just two of a number of successful groundbreaking decisions in his portfolio of higher court decisions. Appointed by the Lord Chancellor as a part-time immigration judge, he sits on the First Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber). He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (ILPA), a former executive committee member of ILPA, a member of Resolution and a regular contributor to many legal journals on the subject of Immigration Law. He also specialises in litigation associated with family law with an emphasis on matrimonial property, finance and children.
