Career

She has practiced Italian and EU competition law for more than 20 years. Her practice encompasses all aspects of EU and national competition and merger control laws, regulatory matters, commercial transactions and consumer law at both advisory and litigation stages.
She has extensive experience of counselling and representing clients before the EU Commission, the Italian Antitrust Authority (IAA), the EU and Italian Courts on complex EU and Italian merger cases, behavioural investigations on restrictive horizontal and vertical practices, cartels, abuses of dominance, consumer protection investigations and antitrust damages litigation.
She has experience across a range of industry sectors, focusing in particular on financial services, oil and gas, energy, telecoms, consumer goods and transportation.
Before joining the Firm, Silvia worked for five years at the IAA as an official and case handler, dealing with energy, oil and gas and consumer protection.

Active from January 2024 as the result of a merger between partners of Gattai, Minoli, Partners and Pedersoli, PedersoliGattai has notable expertise in the banking, financial and insurance sectors, where it routinely assists in administrative proceedings before the Italian Antitrust Authority and the European Commission on cartels, abuse of dominance, vertical restraints and merger control, as well as unfair commercial practices. The team is also active in handling highly complex merger and behavioural antitrust cases in the energy and oil and gas sectors. Davide Cacchioli leads the team together with Silvia D’Alberti, an expert of private antitrust litigation and antitrust compliance. They are assisted by cartels, merger control and abuse of dominance expert Alessandro Bardanzellu and Fabiana Campopiano, who is well-versed in proceedings related to cartels, restrictive horizontal and vertical agreements, and abuse of dominance.
