Joanna also has a postgraduate diploma DESS de Droit des Affaires (Master in business law) organised at Warsaw University in co-operation with the University of Poitiers. She is currently working on her doctorate in collective labour law under the direction of Professor Jerzy Wratny at the Institute of Legal Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences.
