The SEC awarded approximately $3.5 million to a whistleblower for coming forward with information that led to an SEC enforcement action. To date, the SEC whistleblower program has awarded approximately $135 million to 36 whistleblowers since issuing its first award in 2012. Jane Norberg, Chief of the SEC Office of the Whistleblower, stated:

"SEC enforcement actions from whistleblower tips have resulted in more than $874 million in financial remedies.
