Position

Amber appears in the Magistrates, Crown and Youth Courts in both a defence and prosecution capacity. She undertakes work across all aspects of Criminal and Regulatory law, including:-

  • Violent crime (such as Robbery, GBH and ABH);
  • Public Order offences;
  • Weapons offences;
  • Road Traffic and Motoring offences;
  • Fraud and Confiscation matters.

A versatile and thorough advocate, Amber is known for her ability to engage and reassure clients. She is able to quickly build up a strong rapport and gain clients’ confidence quickly.

Amber has regularly represented vulnerable clients, including those with schizophrenia, autism, severe learning difficulties and the elderly.

Prior to joining Chambers, Amber practised as a solicitor. Her varied practice included dealing with matters in areas such as:-

  • Drugs offences;
  • Sexual offences;
  • Rural Crime and Animal Welfare;
  • People Trafficking and Modern Slavery;
  • Licensing, including Taxi Licensing, Premises and Houses in Multiple Occupation;
  • Shotgun and Firearms Licensing;
  • Contempt of Court matters.

Amber continues to welcome instructions in the above areas.

Away from Chambers, Amber is a keen horse rider. She also enjoys live music, reading, travel and walking, often in the Yorkshire Dales.
