Career

rior to joining the bar Elizabeth was a solicitor for 25 years working exclusively in family law and specialising in care and public law proceedings.  She was a longstanding member of the Law Society Children Panel as a child representative. She has represented all manner of parties including the local authority, parent’s, grandparents, foster carers, interveners and on many occasions children.

Elizabeth gained her higher rights of audience in 2012.

Prior to transferring to the bar she was a sole practitioner and successfully managed a busy practice from January 2008 until July 2021, throughout this time Elizabeth held the Solicitors Quality Mark which is awarded for excellence in legal practice.

Elizabeth provided a seamless service to her clients enabling them to continuity of care and representation throughout their case with her undertaking her own advocacy.

Elizabeth is friendly and down to earth and has a reputation for going the extra mile and is known for her no-nonsense and robust approach. She has considerable experience in dealing with vulnerable clients and has an empathetic approach providing clear and honest advice.
