James trained at Steeles Law Solicitors qualifying in 2001 and becoming a partner in 2005. James joined Ashtons Legal as a partner in 2015.

James specialises in advising on corporate transactions and in advising innovative technology companies. He has a wealth of experience in guiding businesses through complex contractual matters to find practical commercial solutions.

 
James is also known for his experience in advising clients on intellectual property, data protection and privacy issues. James helps businesses develop compliant processes and is able to lead more complex data management issues including managing data breaches.
