Career

Sebastián has a great deal of experience advising clients on corporate and financial matters, M&A and especially capital markets and managing financial assets and instruments. He has provided ongoing counsel to a significant group of securities brokers and fund managers in Chile and abroad.

He previously worked as a senior associate at Aninat Schwencke y Cía. (2012- 2014) and, before that, at Guerrero Olivos (2009-2012).

Between 2004 and 2009, he worked as an attorney and then Chief Counsel at Banchile Corredores de Bolsa S.A. and Banchile Administradora General de Fondos S.A.

In the VC space, the team assists clients from the finance, food-tech, retail, software and mining sectors (among others). The practice is co-led by Sebastián Delpiano, an active participant within the Chilean Fintech Association’s legal committee, who advises funds that undertake VC investments; and international capital markets expert Matías Langevin. The ‘multi-service, dynamic and technological‘ firm also fields experts in the creation of investment vehicles and securities; registering equity and debt instruments; advising on stock market relations; and reporting obligations for publicly-listed securities issuers and private securities placements. The group is led by longstanding capital markets expert Sebastián Delpiano; and Matías Langevin, who is experienced in assisting underwriters and issuers with international capital markets transactions.
