Scott Waxman
Career
A member of the K&L Gates LLP Advisory Council and the Managing Partner of the Delaware office, Waxman practices in the areas of tax, alternative entities, and general business. His practice extends into mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business and commercial law, focusing on organizational and operational issues related to statutory trusts, partnerships, limited liability companies and special purpose corporations. Waxman is a senior member and former Chair of Delaware’s Alternative Entities Subcommittee, responsible for drafting Delaware’s preeminent partnership and limited liability company statutes. He is also a senior member of Delaware’s Statutory Trust Committee, responsible for drafting Delaware’s renowned statutory trust statute.
