Van Ness Feldman LLP advises clients through the full lifecycle oil and natural gas infrastructure development process, including on development, permitting, construction, and operation matters, as well as on regulatory compliance and transactional issues. Practice co-head Mona Tandon concentrates her practice on oil and product pipelines as well as on natural gas matters. Co-head Michael Pincus is sought out by clients who are involved in natural gas pipeline projects for his expertise in Natural Gas Act Section 7 certificating. Michael Diamond represents clients before FERC and federal courts of appeals and provides advice on rate and tariff matters.   • Represented Tennessee Gas Pipeline before the D.C. Circuit to defend FERC’s approvals of two Tennessee expansion projects: the East 300 Project, serving a local distribution company in New York, and the Evangeline Pass Project, serving an LNG terminal on the Gulf Coast.
  • Successfully assisted subsidiaries of Sempra Infrastructure with obtaining regulatory approvals from FERC to allow them to restructure and transfer ownership of major pipeline projects feeding gas to liquefied natural gas export terminals.
  • Assisted Texas LNG with obtaining authorization from FERC for its planned $1.3bn LNG export terminal in south Texas.
