Position

Abraham is a partner of Maples and Calder’s Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group’s Cayman Islands office. His expertise covers a range of areas including M&A, private equity, hedge fund, insurance and structured finance transactions.  He also has extensive experience in local Cayman Islands business matters, and all types of general corporate and commercial law, in particular, fintech, patent, trademark and other intellectual property matters.

Career

Abraham joined the Maples Group in 1997 and was elected as a partner in 2013.  He has been recommended in Legal 500.

Abraham was formerly admitted to the United States Patent and Trade Mark Office.  He is a Chartered Engineer and a Certified Management Accountant.  He is the former President of the Caymanian Bar Association and current member of the Cayman Islands Law Reform Commission.  Abraham is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association (CILPA).
