US, Middle Eastern and Asian fund managers come to Maples Group for advice on the establishment and structuring of funds, ranging from private equity and hedge funds to venture capital and real estate vehicles. The practice is noted for its expertise in co-investment structures and GP-led restructuring transactions, with further experience handling deals that require Sharia compliance. Leading the team in tandem are Simon Hopwood, a UK REIT and Islamic finance specialist, and Tim Morgan, who supports private equity houses with the launch of new funds and funds transactions.
