Mr. Band’s practice focuses exclusively on business and family immigration law. He has in-depth experience providing legal services and counseling in all aspects of business and family immigration law to corporate and individual clients, as well as actors, directors, costume designers, and other individuals in the entertainment industry. Mr. Band represents businesses and individuals before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Labor, State Department, Department of Homeland Security and US consular posts.
Mr. Band advises and assists multi-national pharmaceutical companies, energy companies, technology companies, and medical centers in obtaining appropriate nonimmigrant status (H-1B, O-1, L-1, and TN) and permanent residence (EB-1, NIW and PERM based petitions) for foreign national engineers, software developers, scientists, and other professionals. He also counsels businesses on I-9 compliance and related governmental investigations.
Mr. Band is a strong supporter and advocate of community service and is Chair of the Pro Bono Committee for the firm’s Washington office, he donates more than 100 hours of his time each year to pro bono matters, primarily for immigrant domestic abuse victims.
