Career
Elizabeth S. Weiswasser is Co-Chair of Weil’s global Litigation Department. With three decades of experience, she is regarded as one of the country’s foremost patent litigators, frequently serving as lead counsel on behalf of some of the most sophisticated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and consumer products companies in the world, and is known for her ability to marry deep scientific and patent law expertise, for achieving excellent results in federal court litigation and IPR proceedings before the U.S. Patent Office, and for her strategic counseling in the space. Liz has received wide recognition from clients, peers, and the broader life sciences industry as a leader in the life sciences and patent litigation fields, and particularly as one of the top women in the profession. She is a former law clerk to Judge Alan D. Lourie of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at NYU Law School, where she taught Biotechnology/Life Sciences Patent Law.
