Career

Jason Smith is a partner in Weil’s Structured Finance and Derivatives practice. Jason has extensive experience structuring securitizations of equipment and vehicle leases and loans, rental car and other vehicle fleets, personal and small business loans, solar assets, as well as collateralized loan and fund obligation transactions, structured repackagings and a range of synthetic/derivative products including credit default and total return swaps. He also participates in the securitization of trade receivables, royalty receivables and other intellectual property, student loans, and credit cards in the term and commercial paper markets, as well as restructurings involving the foregoing.
