Andy is a Principal Associate in our Human Resources Practice Group. He specialises in advising pension scheme trustees and employers on all aspects of pensions law.

His experience includes: advising on a number of closure and benefit change projects; advising the trustee of the Airways Pension Scheme on its £4.4 billion buy-in; providing technical support on three cases that were decided by the Court of Appeal; advising the trustees of the first published case of The Pensions Regulator exercising its statutory scheme funding powers; and advising on a number of high profile pension insolvencies and restructurings including Jessops, Reader's Digest, Kodak, Nortel and Hoover.

Andy is a key team member for some of our largest clients, as well as being lead adviser and relationship manager for a number of trustee clients who have instructed Eversheds Sutherland following Andy joining the firm. He is a committee member of the Yorkshire Regional Group of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association and the North East Association of Pension Lawyers. Andy is also consistently recognised by the legal directories.
