Position
Jason Rubin assists clients in corporate restructurings and creditors’ rights. He represents debtors, secured and unsecured lender groups, and official committees of unsecured creditors in large, complex Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings, as well as private equity investors pursuing strategies in distressed assets. Jason has advised clients in restructurings in a variety industries including energy, in particular, oil and gas, retail, travel and telecommunications.
His recent engagements include advising debtor Sanchez Energy Corporation; an ad hoc group of secured lenders of CEC Entertainment, Inc.; the official committee of unsecured creditors of Global Eagle Entertainment Inc.; and an ad hoc group of unsecured noteholders of Grupo Aeromexico. Other representations include advising the noteholders of EV Energy Partners, LP; CHC Helicopter; Constellation Enterprises LLC; and Optima Specialty Steel; advising the official committee of unsecured creditors of Nine West Holdings, Inc.; Edison Mission Energy; Dynegy Holdings, LLC; and Chassix Holdings, Inc.; and counseling the secured lenders of Endeavour Energy UK Limited; Flywheel; Mission Coal Company, LLC, Templar Energy LLC; True Religion Apparel, Inc.; LodgeNet Interactive Corporation; and Lightsquared, Inc. In addition, Jason has represented debtor QCE Finance LLC (Quizno’s) and debtor Inner City Media Corporation, and advised the purchasers of assets of Aerosoles International, Inc., and Brookstone Holdings Corp.
