Position
More than 30 years of experience representing companies in class actions in federal and state courts, Seamus Duffy brings a depth of knowledge and experience and a thoughtful, strategic approach to bet-the-company litigation. Mr. Duffy is a nationally recognized authority in the defense of aggregate litigation, representing clients against claims, including consumer fraud, unfair or deceptive business practices, invasion of privacy, data breach, false advertising, marketing and labeling, mass tort/product liability/product defect, unfair competition, breach of contract and breach of warranty. Mr. Duffy is one of the country’s chief proponents of consumer arbitration agreements. He routinely drafts and updates these agreements for leading businesses and successfully defends their enforceability in courts across the country. He has also been called upon to testify at governmental proceedings concerning the benefits of arbitration.
